When they discovered Papua New Guinea, the white men were thought to be gods by the locals. They had this tradition that white men are those who are returning from the dead and so, they must be above humanity. So, because of the white skin of the Europeans, they really thought they were gods.
Same thing happens with astrology (please note I didn’t say horoscopes). Horoscopes are for astrology what the advertising break is for a good movie. They use the same support, they may be talking the same language but most of the time they are only a pile of crap trying to keep your attention focused for a while. The real thing is the movie.
I once had this feeling too that astrology (which was melted into horoscopes at that time) is just a pile of crap. I thought the white men are gods, you know.
It was when I started to actually read and experiment with astrology that I started to understand some parts are really worth learning.
I got your main post message, by the way, and I agree. It’s nice to write your own destiny in the form of horoscope predictions. Unfortunately (and fortunately, at the same time) this is exactly what we’re doing.
